Frequently Asked Questions

Am I billed when I choose the FREE plan?

No. You can sign up and choose the FREE plan without enter credit card info. These informations will be asked only if you upgrade your plan.

Do you plan to offer plan in other currencies than € (Euro)?

Our offers are currently only available in Euros. Fell free to use Paypal payment to ease currency conversion. We will provide payment means for US Dollar and British Pound in next few months.

Are the probes included in the plans?

No. You are free to buy your probes anywhere, as long as you use a supported model. For large installations we may arrange for a pre-enrolled pack of probes, don't hesitate to contact us.

Who is the owner of the probes, what happen to probes if i unsubscribe from Sosk ?

Probes are yours, forever. If you wish to stop using it as a Sosk probe, just erase SD card.

If i unplug one of my probes, will i have to pay for it?

You can freely add or remove probes. Only active probes are billed. A probe is considered active if it sends data to your tenant. Probes count is done every 24h at noon UTC. Billing is done regarding your average probe count. For exemple if you have an average of 17.3 active probes during the month, you will be billed for 17 probes for this month.

Can i use Wireless probes (WiFi) ?

Yes you can. Just plug a Wifi adapter on your probe, and setup network as usual. Wireless probes just work as wired probes.

Can i use Cellular probes (3G, HSPDA, UMTS, LTE ...) ?

Yes you can but you will have to make the network setup by yourself via SSH before.

One of my probes seems dead, what can i do ?

Replace it by another one, try to use the previous SD card if it still good. If not setup the spare probe as a new one.
